And in the business to business space, there is a hierarchy that can explain how many potential clients may view the value of your offer.

At the basic level, functional needs must be met. Translation… We’ve got to make money.

But, as you elevate the level of value you offer you move beyond this basic level to greater purpose that impacts their industry in a way that begins to transform others far beyond your initial reach.

Now, what is most valuable differs by industry, BUT when you embed multiple value elements in your offer and target the right audience, it’s easy to communicate your value in a way that lands and converts.

Excuses are a sign that doubt exists.💯

I used to be a runner but I never ran a half marathon.

I spent a year running nothing but 5 and 10Ks each and every month.

I told myself that my goal was consistency. But really, I doubted my ability to complete the half marathon successfully.

So, I never settled on a training plan.

I never registered for a race.

I never even watched others compete in a half marathon to expand my view of what was possible for me.

That’s what happens when doubt creeps in.

We create excuses to avoid the actions necessary to achieve a greater goal.

This is a reminder that you’re not meant to play small. [SWIPE]

THERE’S A MISCONCEPTION ABOUT OFFER CREATION THAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED.

By definition, an offer is a CLEAR proposal to sell a SPECIFIC product or service under SPECIFIC conditions.

And in order for that offer to be well received it has to have perceived value which is determined by the customer or prospect.

So, since we are not mind readers and every potential client is different. We likely won’t land upon a way to communicate the value of our service successfully on the first try.

Whew! I know that was a mouthful.

But, I am tired of people selling ease without explaining that the ease they are currently experiencing is a result of focused and intentional work to get there.

The focus has to be on the end goal. The journey in business is finding the best path for YOU to get there.

Stop expecting overnight success.

If it happens, great! But, we are not entitled to success just because we want it or even deserve it.

We have to embrace the journey because a business that lasts over time will have its share of ups and downs.

Don’t be afraid to buckle in for the ride.
