If you’ve read any book on starting or building a consulting business, you’ve likely noticed that they all read the same…

🔸Start with who you know.

🔸Ask for referrals.

🔸Write winning proposals.

🔸Speak on a big stage.

From the moment you walk in the door at work with “neatly groomed” hair, your black, blue, or gray suit from Ann Taylor (or some similar “conservative” store who sales your 9 to 5 uniform attire), and the perfect articulation of every word to match, you’ve been taught that it’s risky to color outside of the lines.
